While the Bajaj V20 will arrive in the Indian market in November 2016, the V40 will be rolled out in May or June 2017.
The Bajaj V20 and V40 will derive their power from a 200cc and a 400cc engines respectively.
Buoyed by the success of V15, Bajaj Auto is planning to bring-in two more motorcycles based on the V-platform (most probably V20 & V40). During a media interaction, Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto, has confirmed that the company will introduce an executive V commuter in November 2016. Within 6 months of its launch, there will be one more V bike, he revealed further.
While the V15 is the entry-level 150cc bike, the V20 and V40 will come with 200cc and 400cc capacity engines. Since the Pune-based bikemaker already has powertrains at its disposal, it will help them reduce development cost. Though there is no official information about engine specifications, the new V bikes will continue to have a small extract of INS Vikrant’s metal in their fuel tanks.

Priced at Rs 62,000, the Bajaj V15 became an instant success for the bikemaker. The bike has also marked its name in the list of 10 best selling bikes in April 2016. The home-grown bikemaker has a strong market hold in the entry and premium segments. However, in the executive commuter space, the company has a share of 40,000 units only.
