Bajaj Chetak Chic Could Be Bajaj’s New Electric Scooter
On coming 16th October, Bajaj Auto will unveil an all-new product that’s most likely to be an electric scooter under its new ‘Urbanite’ sub brand. Rumor has it that the two-wheeler maker will bring back its iconic Chetak scooter with an electric powertrain. According to a leaked document the company’s new electric scooter could be named ‘Bajaj Chetak Chic Electric’.
We have seen the Bajaj Urbanite scooter multiple times and the camouflaged prototypes have revealed that it will carry a retro design language. The new Bajaj Chetak Chic Electric will also feature a round headlamp, alloy wheels, curved panels and twin slanting taillamps.
The suspension setup of the Bajaj Chetak Chic Electric will include a single-side front unit. It’s likely to come with multiple Artificial Intelligence features and Bluetooth connectivity. The scooter will also feature a fully digital instrument console. Read – 4 New Bajaj Bikes Coming To India
As of now, the engine details are not available. Though, the scooter is likely to derive power from a BLDC (brushless DC motor), lithium ion battery pack.

The new Bajaj electric scooter is expected to be positioned in the premium segment with cost around Rs 1 lakh (on-road). It will lock horns against scooters from Okinawa, Ather Energy, Ampere Electric Vehicles and Hero Electric.
