Audi India will launch the much-awaited Audi A3 sedan in the country in mid-July, 2014. The vehicle has been spotted several times during its test rounds and the media drives for the saloon are starting from 9th of July.
Audi A3 sedan will be the company’s cheapest offering in the Indian market. The dealerships have received an overwhelming response for the car from the prospective buyers and have asked the company to double the number of cars allocated to them. Going by this response, we believe it could be the Audi’s bestselling car in the near future.
Audi A3 sedan will come in both petrol and diesel engines- a 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol and 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel. Both the engines will be coupled to Audi’s S-Tronic dual clutch transmission which sends the power to the front wheels of the car.
The new Audi A3 sedan is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 22-26 lakh, while the company will also launch the toned down version of this sedan, just like the Audi Q3 S, which is likely to be priced around Rs. 20 lakh. It will compete against the Mercedes-Benz CLA sedan which is likely to be launched by early next year.
