All-New Mahindra Scorpio, XUV300 Facelift Launch Timeline
Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to unveil the three new electric SUVs’ concept in July 2022. The company has a handful of new and updated models, which are scheduled to arrive in the next couple of years. While the second-generation Mahindra Scorpio will be the biggest new product launch from the home-grown automaker this year, it will bring in the Mahindra XUV300 facelift in early 2023. The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio is reported to debut in June, followed by its launch. Here’re key details of these upcoming SUVs.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio
The SUV’s next-generation model will be far cry from the existing one. It will be bigger, better and more powerful. Based on the updated ladder frame chassis, the new Scorpio will come with the 2.0L mStallion petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel engines and manual and automatic gearbox options. The top-end variants are likely to get AWD (all-wheel drive) system as standard. Interior will be more premium and feature-laden than the current generation. Reports suggest that the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will get a 360 degree camera, a digital analogue instrument cluster, Head-Up Display (HUD) and ADAS. Significant cosmetic changes will also be made to the SUV.
2022 Mahindra XUV300 Facelift
Mahindra’s popular sub-4 metre SUV – XUV300 – is ready to witness its first mid-life update in the first quarter of 2023. One of the major updates will come in the form of the more powerful 1.2L mStallion T-GDI engine making 130bhp and 230Nm. Compared the regular gasoline motor, the new one is 20bhp more powerful and 30Nm torquier. The lower variants will continue to come with the existing 1.2L, 3-cyinder mFalcon MPFI engine. The 2022 Mahindra XUV300 will receive an updated touchscreen infotainment system along with a few new equipment. Some of its design changes will be inspired by the new Scorpio and XUV700 SUVs.
