New Mahindra Electric SUV Interior Teaser Out – What To Expect?

Mahindra & Mahindra aims to double its electric vehicle range in the coming years. The plan outlines launch of eight electric vehicles (EVs) by 2027 including four derivatives of the existing petrol and diesel products and four new SUVs based on a “Born-Electric” platform. The automaker has already confirmed that the upcoming three new Mahindra SUVs will make debut in their concept avatar in July 2022. These models have been designed by the company’s UK-based MADE (Mahindra Advance Design Europe) division lead by Pratap Bose.

Now, the home-grown automaker has released a new teaser video of its upcoming Born electric SUV. The concept has dual-tone Red and Black theme that looks quite sporty. It has futuristic design with uniquely designed steering and dual screen setup as we have seen on the Mahindra XUV700. The latter one has dual HD screens on dashboard with one in the centre for the infotainment system and one on the right featuring the instrument console and shows driving features. You can also notice a rotary knob placed in the centre console and a fancy lever.

The EVs are likely to be offered with some advanced goodies including connected car tech and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). The ADAS suite offers features such as automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, front collision warning, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.

If reports are to be believed, the upcoming Mahindra electric SUV lineup might include the eXUV300, eXUV700 and XUV900 coupe. The company has already started testing the Mahindra eXUV300 that’s reported to arrive sometime next year. It’s production-ready version is rumoured to be named Mahindra XUV400. The electric subcompact SUV is likely to be offered with 350V and 380V battery pack options.
