Mahindra XUV300 Facelift To Get 130bhp, 1.2L Petrol Engine

Mahindra has officially announced to launch the new XUV300 facelift and the XUV300 electric will arrive in 2023. First launched in 2019, the Mahindra XUV300 facelift is scheduled to be launched in the Q3, FY2022 – around December-January 2022. The updated model will come with cosmetic design changes & upgraded interior along with new engine option.

Mahindra had showcased its new mStallion series of petrol engines comprising of 1.2L, 1.5L and 2.0L powertrains at the 2020 Auto Expo. The 2.0L mStallion engine currently powers the new Thar and the XUV700. The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine will make debut in the XUV300 facelift.

Mahindra XUV300 Sportz

For people not in the know, Mahindra had showcased the XUV300 Sportz edition with the 1.2L mStallion engine at the 2020 Auto Expo. This variant was claimed to be the racier variant of the SUV, which has already been spotted multiple times.

The new 1.2L mStallion engine features direct injection and cylinder heads with integrated exhaust manifolds. The new engine is compliant with the updated BSVI emission norms, which will be introduced in 223. The new engine is capable of producing 130bhp of power and 230Nm of torque, which is 20bhp and 30Nm more than the current 1.2L engine. The lower variants will continue to be offered with the 110bhp, 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine. The Mahindra XUV300 facelift will continue to be offered with the same 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine.

The Mahindra XUV300 facelift will come with revised interiors. The biggest change will be an all-new infotainment system, which could feature new interface. It could get the updated Visteon-sourced AdrenoX infotainment system, which we have already seen on the new XUV700.

The new Mahindra XUV300 facelift is expected to receive bolder design, which will be inline with the XUV700 and the new-gen Scorpio. It will have a larger, bolder grille with bigger vertical chrome slats, new alloys, revised tail-lights and full LED headlamps along with new Mahindra badge.
