Hyundai is all set to launch 2 new cars – the new-gen Creta and the new Verna facelift in the country in next couple of weeks. The Hyundai Verna facelift will be the first connected car in the mid-sized sedan segment. It will receive the company’s Blue Link Connected Car Technology, which we have already seen on the new Hyundai Venue and the Elantra.

The 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift mid-sized sedan will come with 45 connected car features including the new ‘Hello Blue Link’ wake-up feature. As a reminder, the Venue and Elantra came with up to 34 connected car features. The new model comes with a wide range of connected car features across various categories – safety, security, vehicle relationship management, remote access, alert services, location-based services and Artificial Intelligence (AI). 2020 Hyundai Verna Teased

The AI system is the car’s voice recognition technology that can interact with the user in Indian English. The system also gets the new Hello Blue Link – wake-up word for voice-activated in-car control and assistance for calls, live tracking of cricket scores, weather reports, and media or map control. For safety, alert and tracking, the new Hyundai Verna facelift gets auto crash notification, SOS/emergency assistance, roadside assistance, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, panic notification, stolen vehicle tracking and notification and many more. With the help of the Blue Link mobile and smartwatch application, Hyundai owners can also remote access in-car functions like – remote climate control, remote engine on/off, remote door lock/unlock, vehicle status, horn honk and light, and find my car function.

2020 Hyundai Verna Rear Design

In terms of exterior design changes, the new Hyundai Verna facelift gets new cascading grille, new LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights and indicators, new sculpted bumpers and new round fog lamps. Other design changes include new dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, and revised LED taillamps and bumper.

The new Hyundai Verna facelift will come with 3 new BS6 engines – a 115bhp, 1.5-litre petrol, a 115bhp, 1.5-litre diesel and a 118bhp, 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic and a DCT automatic for the 1.0L GDI engine.
