Korean automaker, Hyundai is gearing up to launch 2 new cars – the 2020 Verna and the new-gen Creta SUV in India within 3 weeks. The company has now released the official teaser images of the 2020 Hyundai Verna mid-sized sedan.

The design of the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift is based on the ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language. The sedan received significant design changes and upgraded cabin; however, biggest change has been made under the bonnet. 2020 Hyundai Verna Teased

The 2020 Hyundai Verna will also receive the new 1.0-litre Turbo GDi petrol engine, which we have already seen on the Venue compact SUV, Nios Turbo and the Aura compact sedan. The new sedan will be offered with a wide range of automatic transmission options including Intelligent Variable Transmission, 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission and 6-speed torque convertor automatic.

The other two engine options will include a new 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel. While the former is good for 115bhp and 144Nm of torque, the oil burner produces 115bhp and 250Nm of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox will be offered as standard. 2020 Hyundai Verna Rear Design

The 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift will receive significant design changes including full LED headlamps and cornering lamps, projector fog lamps and LED tail-lamps, chromed cascading front grille, and triangular shaped fog lamp inserts. The side profile remains the same, except for the new alloy wheels. At the back, the sedan gets revised bumper with new inserts and blackened treatment.

The company hasn’t revealed the interior pictures and details of the 2020 Verna. It is likely to receive all-digital instrument console, a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, and the Blue Link connected car tech.
