American automaker, Jeep will launch an all-new 7-seater SUV in India. The new model will be based on the Compass platform and will be positioned against the Toyota Fortuner and the Honda CR-V. This SUV will offer a mix of off-road and on-road capabilities. It will target buyers looking for spacious SUV and offers premium interior. The new SUV is expected to be launched in 2021. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that also powers the Compass.

Ford C-segment SUV – Urban Audience looking for decent off-road capabilities

Ford is readying an all-new mid-sized SUV for the Indian market. This new model will be based on the next-gen Mahindra XUV500 platform and will go on sale in 2021. The new model will target urban audience, though it will have decent off-road capabilities. The SUV will share close to 75% components with the XUV500. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which will also power the XUV500.

Citroen C5 Aircross – Spacious 5-seater Urban SUV

PSA Groupe will officially enter into India with the Citroen brand in India in 2020. The C5 Aircross will be the brand’s first model in India. It will be a premium 5-seater SUV, which will specifically target the urban buyers. The SUV will cost around Rs 18 lakh – Rs 22 lakh and will be positioned against the Hyundai Tucson.

Maruti S-Presso – Young & First Time Car Buyers

With this mini SUV, Maruti Suzuki will target the young and first time car buyers. Scheduled to be launched during festive season, the Maruti S-Presso is expected to be priced around Rs 4 lakh to Rs 6 lakh. Honda is reportedly developing an all-new sub-4 meter SUV for the Indian market. The new SUV will be based on the new Amaze platform and will be positioned against the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport and the Maruti Vitara Brezza. The new small SUV will target buyers looking for city cars and their commute mostly involves driving through city streets on daily bassis and occasional touring.
