5 New 7-Seater Family Cars (SUVs/MPV) Launching Soon

The demand for 7-seater family cars (including SUVs and MPVs) is quite strong in the market. The three-row vehicles have always been favoured for their practicality and extra cabin space among family car buyers. In the next couple of months, we will witness 5 major launches in this segment from Toyota, Tata, Mahindra, MG and Force Motors. 2023 MG Hector facelift variants

MG Motor India has confirmed that it will announce prices of the updated Hector and Hector Plus on 5th January 2023. Production of the SUVs is already underway at the company’s Halol based plant in Gujarat. Most of the changes will be made at the front end. The new 2023 MG Hector Plus features a newly-designed grille and split headlamp setup with LED DRLs. It gets a new set of alloy wheels. Inside, the dashboard, central console and steering wheel will be all-new. The SUV has a new 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the Next-Gen i-Smart technology and wireless smartphone connectivity. The major update will be the ADAS suite. More details here…

Toyota Innova Hycross Launch Date

Toyota Innova Hycross is all set to go on sale in January 2023. The MPV will come in G, GX, VX, ZX and ZX (O) trims, packed with the 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol and 2.0L petrol strong hybrid powertrains. The gasoline unit, with a CVT gearbox, delivers a peak power of 172bhp and 205Nm of torque. The strong hybrid setup pushes out a claimed power of 186bhp with an e-Drive transmission. The Innova Hycross strong hybrid is claimed to offer a mileage of 21.1kmpl. New Tata Safari Prices

Tata Motors might showcase the updated Safari SUV alongside the Harrier facelift at the 2023 Auto Expo in January. The SUV might be the first Tata vehicle to get the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite. It could also be packed with features such as a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a 360 degree camera. No changes are likely to be made under the hood. Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus Launch

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus is among the soon-to-be-launched new 7-seater family cars in India. Though, its launch date is yet to be announced. For power, the SUV will use the 2.2L mHawk diesel engine that will be available with both manual and automatic gearbox options. Compared to its 5-seater sibling, the Bolero Neo Plus will be longer and have more cabin space. It will be made available in P4 and P10 variants, which are expected to cost between Rs 10 lakh – Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). More details here…

5-Door Force Gurkha

Force Gurkha 5-Door Spied

The 5-door Force Gurkha is expected to witness a market launch in the next couple of months. The company has already started dispatching the model at its dealerships across the country. It’s essentially the long wheelbase version of the 3-door Gurkha that’s reported to be offered with four seating layouts – 6,7,9 and 13-seats. Powering the 5-door Gurkha will be the 2.6L turbo diesel engine making power worth 91bhp and 250Nm of torque. It’s the same motor that powers the 3-door Gurkha.
