The next month (November 2021) is set to witness four important product launches for the Indian automobile market. The list includes the new-generation Maruti Celerio, Tata Tiago CNG and updated Audi Q5 and Volkswagen Tiguan. Here’s a brief on the upcoming new cars.
New-Gen Maruti Celerio
Prices of the new-generation Maruti Celerio are reported to be announced on coming 10th November. Its official launch date, however, is yet to be announced. The 2021 Maruti Celerio will be bigger, more upmarket, frugal and powerful than the current generation. Reports suggest that the hatchback will derive its power from a new 1.0L K10C Dualjet petrol engine that will offer more power and mileage than the existing 69bhp, 1.2L petrol unit. Tata Tiago CNG
Unofficial bookings of the Tata Tiago CNG have already been commenced at a token sum of Rs 11,000. Its deliveries will begin a month after its price announcement in November 2021. The CNG kit will be offered only on the mid-level XT and XZ trims powered by a 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine. The gasoline unit makes power worth 86PS with 113Nm. With the CNG kit, however, its power output will decline up to 15-20 percent. New Audi Q5
Audi India has started taking pre-bookings for its upcoming Q5 facelift in the country. Buyers can book the vehicle by paying a sum of Rs 2 lakh. Its deliveries, however, will begin in sometime in November. The updated SUV model lineup will come in Premium Plus and Technology trims and 5 colour options. Under the hood, the 2021 Audi Q5 will house the same 2.0L turbo petrol engine that pushes out a peak power of 249bhp and 370Nm of torque. It will have Audi’s Quattro AWD drivetrain system. New Volkswagen Tiguan
Volkswagen India is all set to launch the updated Tiguan SUV sometime in November 2021. The SUV receives a heavily revised front fascia featuring new LED matrix headlamps, grille and bumper. It gets a set of newly-designed 18-inch alloy wheels along with the taillamps with new LED elements, tweaked bumper and slightly repositioned signature badge. Powering the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan facelift is the same 2.0L, 4-cylinder TSI turbo petrol engine making 190bhp and 320Nm. There is no diesel engine on offer.
