4 Big SUV/Car Unveilings In April 2021

The next month (April 2021) is going to action-packed for the automobile industry. There will be 4 major product unveilings including three all-new SUVs and a sedan. Here’s a brief on the upcoming new models that will make world debut next month.

1. Hyundai Alcazar

The South Korean carmaker is ready to unveil its new 7-seater SUV on 6th April 2021. Called the Hyundai Alcazar, the model will hit showrooms in the month of May. Based on the Creta 5-seater, the upcoming three-row SUV will take directly on the new-generation Mahindra XUV500 and MG Hector Plus. It will look slightly different and more premium than its younger sibling. Rumour has it that the Alcazar could be offered with ADAS technology along with some extra goodies. Its engine setup and gearbox options will be exactly similar to the Creta.

2. New-Gen Nissan X-Trail

The new-generation Nissan X-Trail SUV will make its global debut in April 2021, followed by its launch in the Chinese market. One must note that it won’t come to India. Ahead of its world premiere, a set of its clear pictures has been leaked on the web. The China-spec X-Trail will be offered with a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine paired to a CVT automatic gearbox. The motor makes a top power of 204bhp and 300Nm of torque. It can be had with either FWD (front-wheel-drive) or AWD (all-wheel-drive) system. The SUV will witness significant changes inside and out.

3. Jeep 7-Seater SUV (Name Unveil)

Jeep has confirmed a new 7-seater SUV (codenamed Jeep H6) for the Indian market. The official name of the model will be unveiled on 4th April 2021. The upcoming 7-seat Jeep SUV will make its debut later this year and its launch will happen by mid 2022. It will be designed on the modified version of the Small-Wide 4X4 platform that also underpins the Compass. Under the hood, the SUV will feature a 2.0L, 4-cylinder Multijet turbo diesel engine with a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It’s the same powertrain that does duty in the updated Compass.

4. New-Gen Honda Civic

Honda’s Civic sedan is ready to enter into its 11th generation in coming months. Its production ready version will be unveiled in coming weeks. One of the major changes will come in the form of the Honda’s i-MMD hybrid powertrain along with the 1.5L i-VTEC turbo petrol engine. The sedan will be offered with FWD system. The overall design and styling will also witness comprehensive update. Its interior details are yet to be revealed. The 2022 Honda Civic won’t make its way to India. The carmaker discontinued the 10th generation Civic last year.
