Hyundai Alcazar 7-seater SUV Debut On 6th April 2021

Hyundai Alcazar 7-seater SUV will be the next big launch from the South Korean carmaker in the country. The model will be showcased in Rajasthan on 6th April and its launch will happen in May 2021. Based on the Creta, the upcoming 7-seater SUV will be made available with 6 and 7-seats configurations and positioned against the MG Hector Plus and the upcoming new-generation Mahindra XUV500.

The latest spy pictures reveal that its 6-seater version will offer dual-tone individual captain seats for the middle row. There will be a dedicated armrest with cup holders, wireless phone charging, Isofix mounts and small storage space for the second row occupants. The 7-seater version will have a bench-type seat for the middle row passengers. The upcoming Alcazar is likely to come with a larger touchscreen infotainment system than the Creta that has a 10.25-inch unit with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay connectivity and voice recognition.

The carmaker might equip the Hyundai Alcazar with some extra goodies like ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) technology, a 360 degree camera, Bluelink connected car technology and automatic AC unit. Features such as a 7.0-inch instrument cluster, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, leather upholstery, powered driver’s seat, front ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, auto dimming inside rear view mirror, air purifier, vehicle stability management, 6 airbags, hill start assist and remote engine start-stop are likely be carried forward from the Creta 5-seater. Visually, the upcoming Hyundai 7-seater SUV will look different from the Creta. It will be bigger, more spacious and feature a flatter roof, extended overhands, new LED taillamps, twin exhausts, revised bumper and tailgate.

Engine setup of the Hyundai Alcazar will be carried forward from the Creta 5-seter that comes with a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel and petrol motors. Transmission options will also be exactly similar to its younger sibling i.e. 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic, a 7-speed DCT (turbo-petrol only) and a CVT automatic.
