India’s largest passenger vehicle manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has lined up four models for the coming months. While bookings for the Fronx compact crossover and Jimny 5-door SUV have already opened, the Brezza CNG will also be launched in coming weeks. Here’re some key details of the aforementioned Maruti Suzuki cars.
Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Cars
Maruti Fronx
Prices of the all-new Maruti Suzuki Fronx will be revealed next month (i.e. March 2023). The model lineup will come in 5 variants – Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha. While the Sigma and Delta will be available with the 1.2L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, the Zeta and Alpha trims can be had with a new 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo Boosterjet petrol motor. The Delta+ will be offered with both powertrains. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual, an AMT and a 6-speed automatic unit. Maruti Brezza CNG
The carmaker hasn’t yet revealed its launch date, but the Brezza CNG has started arriving at dealerships. It will come with the 1.5L K15C petrol engine paired to a factory-fitted CNG kit. The setup offers a peak power of 88PS and 121.5Nm of torque. It’s slightly less powerful and torquier than its standard petrol version. The Maruti Brezza CNG will promise a fuel economy of 27km/kg. Maruti Jimny 5-Door
Maruti Jimny will be the second Nexa offering from the Indo-Japanese automaker this year. The model lineup will be made available in four variants spread across two trims – Zeta and Alpha. Under the hood, the off-road SUV employs a 1.5L, 4-cylinder K15B petrol engine with idle start/stop system. The motor returns a claimed power of 103bhp and 134.2Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque convertor automatic transmission. The SUV has AllGrip Pro AWD system with a manual transfer case and a low range gearbox with 2WD high, 4WD high and 4WD low modes.
