Maruti Suzuki has a handful of new models, which are slated to launch in coming years. Besides a range of new SUVs, the Indo-Japanese automaker will give updates to its popular models including Alto, Brezza, Ciaz, Baleno, XL6 and Ertiga. Talking about the new-generation Maruti Brezza, the compact SUV is reported to arrive in early 2022 (possibly in the month of February). If reports are to be believed, the new 2022 Maruti Brezza will come with the stronger 48V hybrid technology instead of the mild hybrid system. Under the hood, the compact SUV will carry the same 1.5L K15B petrol engine that does duty in the existing model. With stronger hybrid system, it will become more fuel efficient than the current generation. It can be had with either manual or automatic gearbox.
While the interior layout of the new Maruti Brezza 2022 will remain unchanged, it will come with a bunch of new goodies. It’s reported to be as feature-packed as its arch rivals – i.e. Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. The compact SUV will come with a new free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a new instrument panel, new centre console and newly-designed dashboard. The existing steering wheel will be replaced with the new flat-bottom unit, borrowed from the Swift hatchback. Material quality will also be classed-up. Interestingly, the new 2022 Maruti Brezza will be the brand’s first car to come with the factory-fitted sunroof. The automatic variants will get paddle shifters. Similar to its rivals, the new Brezza will offer wireless charging and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Major changes will be made to its exterior as well.
With improved design, upmarket interior and a more frugal engine, the new Maruti Brezza 2022 will receive a price hike. The new model is likely to cost from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
