The next-generation Royal Enfield Classic 350 is surely one of the much-awaited new bike launches of this year. The new model has been spotted testing multiple times across the country. Though, the latest set of spy pictures reveals details of the production-ready 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350. The bike features the conventional spoke wheels along with the chrome finished exhaust system, engine case and other components.
Upfront, the new RE Classic 350 carries a slightly tweaked headlamp cowl, fuel tank and seats. The recently introduced alloy wheels and dark colour themes are likely to be carried forward on the updated model lineup. The biggest change will be made to its underpinning. The new Classic 350 will sit on the brand’s new modular J platform that will also be used in several upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycles.
The exhaust system of the new-generation Classic 350 ditches the auxiliary catalytic converter chamber for a catalytic converter fitted inside the silencer bend pipe. Similar to the newly-launched RE Meteor, the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 might come with the Tripper Navigation system. A few more goodies might also be on offer. In terms of power and performance, the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 will be much better. The bike will source its power from a new 350cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel injected SOHC engine borrowed from the RE Meteor 350. The motor pushes out a peak power of 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. The bike will have a 5-speed unit for performing transmission duties.
Besides launching the new-generation RE Classic 350, the Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer is working on the Royal Enfield Classic 650 and Meteor 650. Both models are likely to arrive in the next couple of years. The company will also give an update to the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 this year.
