2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio Rendering Shows Sporty Rear

We have reported earlier that Maruti Suzuki’s entry-level Celerio hatchback is ready to get a generation change in early 2021. Earlier, the updated model was slated to launch this festive season. Due to some component supply constraints, it has been pushed to early next year. While its official unveiling is a few months away, a latest digital rendering shows its possible rear design. The rendered 2021 Maruti Celerio, which is based on the spy pictures, features newly-designed taillamps and revised bumper with more pronounced creases.

Compared to the existing model, the updated one sits slightly lower. No other changes have been made to its rear section. The new-generation Celerio continues to carry the body-coloured boot lit, small rear spoiler and rear wiper. The latest set of spy images reveal that the new Maruti Celerio 2021 will come with the new projector headlamps with LED DRLs and new front bumper. There might also be newly-designed alloy wheels and ORVMs with integrated turn indicators.

New 2021 Maruti Celerio

Similar to Maruti Suzuki’s new breed cars, the hatchback’s all-new model will underpin Suzuki’s Heartect platform. It will also witness significant dimensional changes, thus making it slightly more spacious than the existing model. The new Maruti Celerio 2021 is likely to come with a new interior layout with a bunch of new features. The higher trims might be exclusively offered with SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system. The hatchback is likely to get a new digital instrument cluster. Powering the 2021 Maruti Celerio might be a more powerful 83bhp, 1.2L K-Series petrol and 68bhp, 1.0L, 3-cylinder petrol engine. Transmissions will be carried over from the existing model – i.e. 5-speed manual and an AMT. The hatchback’s existing 1.0L petrol variant returns claimed fuel economy of 21.63kmpl. The new Maruti Celerio 2021 could be more fuel economical than the current model due its lightweight underpinning.
