2021 Maruti Celerio Shapes Up Nicely In New Rendering

The second-generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio will be the next big launch from the Indo-Japanese carmaker in the country. The model is currently in its final testing phase and caught on camera multiple times. The hatchback’s new-gen is reported to arrive in a couple of months. Recently, the patent images of the 2021 Maruti Celerio were leaked online revealing its final design details. Here’s a latest digital rendering, based on the leaked patent pictures, previewing a possible front styling of the hatchback.

Painted in Blue shade, the rendered Maruti Celerio 2021 carries an entirely new front fascia with squarish stance. Similar to the patent model, the rendered one features a flattish-oval grille with a chrome bar running through it and triangular shaped headlamps. The front bumper has been completely revised. The new fog lamp assembly with black surroundings and slightly pronounced hood add more to its new looks.

Unlike the new breed cars that come with the pull-type door handles, the 2021 Maruti Celerio will be equipped with the conventional lift-type units. The slightly swooping roofline and character lines over the pronounced wheel arches and rounded bulges on the doors will further enhance its side profile. It’s likely to come with 13-inch alloy wheels. The rear section will be revised with the newly-designed wraparound taillamps, updated bumper and reflectors on both sides of bumper. Compared to the current generation, the new Maruti Celerio 2021 will be bigger and have longer wheelbase. The hatchback will also ditch its existing platform for the Suzuki’s lightweight Heartect architecture. For power, the new Celerio will use the same 67bhp, 1.0L petrol engine that does duty in the existing model. Reports suggest that the carmaker might also introduce the WagonR’s 1.2L petrol unit that’s good for 83bhp. A CNG powertrain could also be on offer. The 2021 Maruti Celerio can be had with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT unit.
