2021 Maruti Celerio Inspired By Swift and Baleno – Rendering

The new-generation Maruti Celerio is inches closer to its launch that’s likely to happen in September 2021. In fact, select dealers have already started accepting bookings for the new model. While the hatchback will take a couple of months to hit showrooms, interesting digital renderings have begun emerging on the web. A fresh rendering shows a possible final version of the 2021 Maruti Celerio, which is inspired by the brand’s two popular hatchbacks – Swift and Baleno.

The rendered model carries more angular stance and curved creases. The front fascia has been completely revised with a newly designed grille featuring chromed signature logo at the centre. The headlamps look similar to the Baleno. The fog lamps assembly has been integrated on the lower section of the bumper. The black surrounding further enhances its new sporty looks.

Compared to the current model, the rendered one has slightly lower roofline with an integrated antenna as we have seen in the Swift. The hatchback has been fitted with the small size alloy wheels along with the body-coloured ORVMs and door handles. If reports are to be believed, the 2021 Maruti Celerio will be designed on the Heartect platform that underpins Maruti Suzuki’s several new breed cars. Interior layout might remain unchanged. Though, the new Celerio will get a bunch of new features including a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system. The unit is likely to be compatible to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other updates might include a new steering wheel, revised centre console and a newly-designed dashboard.

Under the hood, the 2021 Maruti Celerio will continue to feature the existing 67bhp, 1.0L petrol motor. This time around, the carmaker might also introduce the WagonR’s 83bhp, 1.2L petrol engine and CNG kit as well. Similar to the current generation, the new one will come with the 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.
