2020 Renault Duster Launched at Rs 8.49 Lakh – 1.5 Lakh Cheaper Than Seltos, Creta

After launching the BSVI compliant Triber and Kwid, Renault has now launched the BSVI compliant Duster SUV in India. The 2020 Renault Duster is now available in single petrol version, while the diesel version has been officially discontinued from the market.

The 2020 Renault Duster is available in 3 variants – RXE, RXS and RXZ – priced at Rs 8.49 lakh, Rs 9.29 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi. The updated Duster is around 1.5 lakh cheaper than the newly launched Hyundai Creta (Priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 17.20 lakh) and the segment-leading Kia Seltos (9.89 lakh and Rs 17.29 lakh). However, the Seltos and Creta are available in both petrol and diesel guise.

Renault Duster Turbo Petrol Price

It is powered by a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre petrol engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The BS6 1.5L, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine is capable of producing 104bhp of power and 142Nm of torque. It is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 14.26kmpl. The 2020 Duster rides on 16-inch wheels shod with 215/65 section tyres.

In terms of proportions, the 2020 Renault Duster is 4,360mm in length, 1,822mm in width and 1,695mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,673mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of 205mm, which is more than sufficient for Indian road conditions. The updated Renault Duster is available in 7 exterior colour options – Caspian Blue, Mahogany Brown, Cayenne Orange, Moonlight Silver, Outback Bronze, State Grey and Pearl White.

Renault will also launch the turbocharged version of the Duster SUV in the country. Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020, the Duster Turbo will be powered by a new 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of producing 156bhp of power and a peak torque of 250Nm. This new engine will come as a replacement for the existing 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine.
