2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Facelift – 4 Things To Know
First launched in 2008, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been a regular in the top 10 selling passenger vehicles of the country over the years. The compact sedan has average monthly sales of over 21,000 units. The Dzire, which is currently in its third generation, is ready to receive a mid-life update in coming months. 1. Revised Styling
Design changes will be minimal. The updated Dzire is likely to feature a revised front bumper and headlamps, while the grille with chrome surrounding and fog lamp assembly will be carried over from the existing model. The side profile will remain unchanged. Though, we can expect it to get newly-designed alloy wheels.
2. New Infotainment Unit
Similar to the updated Vitara Brezza, the 2020 Maruti Dzire facelift will receive new SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will also support cloud based connectivity functions such as voice recognition, live traffic and vehicle alerts. The carmaker might also offer a few more features on the compact sedan lineup. 3. Same Powertrain
Engine setup of the facelifted model will remain unchanged. The compact sedan will continue to come with the BS6-compliant 1.2L naturally aspirated K12B petrol engine. The motor pushes out a peak power of 83PS and a peak torque of 113Nm. Both 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox will be on offer. The new Dzire will promise a fuel economy of 21.21kmpl.
4. Expected Launch & Price
Prices of the 2020 Maruti Dzire facelift (petrol) might be more or less similar to the existing model. At present, the sedan comes in the price range of Rs 5.82 lakh – Rs 8.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While the official launch date and details are yet to be revealed, it’s likely to hit roads in a couple of months.
