MG Hector Plus, the 6/7-seater version of the Hector SUV, was recently unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo 2020. While the 6-seater model is slated to go on sale in the third quarter of 2020, the 7-seater variant will come during this year’s festive season.

Most of the design bits and features of the Hector Plus are exactly similar to the Hector 5-seater. In fact, the engine setup is also carried over from the standard model. Though, there are 4 major differences that we have listed below.

1. Longer

The overall length of the Hector Plus stands at 4,695mm, which is 40mm longer than the Hector 5-seater. Though, the width, height and wheelbase remain unchanged. 2. Third Row Seats

Unlike the standard Hector, the MG Hector Plus 6-seater SUV offers third row seats with 50:50 split ratio. There will be an additional joint seat for accommodating two extra passengers. The 7-seater version, on the other hand, will come with 60:40 split bench seats.

3. Slightly Tweaked Design

Visually, the Hector Plus appears slightly longer and different than the standard model. The former carries an all-black grille without chrome surround, headlamps and fog lamps with new triangular design, newly-designed bumper and thicker LED DRLs. 4. Premium Pricing

Compared to the 5-seater model, the MG Hector Plus 6-seater will be priced premium around Rs 1 lakh. Prices of the standard version start from Rs 12.73 lakh and go up to Rs 17.43 lakh (ex-showroom). The 6-seater version will take head-to-head against the upcoming SUVs like Tata Gravitas, new Mahindra XUV500 and Ford’s XUV500 based SUV.
