The new Hyundai Verna facelift will not be showcased at Auto Expo 2020. The carmaker has decided to unveil the vehicle after the biennial event. The updated sedan will witnessed noticeable aesthetic changes and feature upgrades along with the BS6-compliant engines. Design and styling of the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift inlines with the latest Hyundai models that retailed globally including the new-generation Sonata and updated Elantra.

Upfront, the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift will feature the signature cascading grille with chrome trim. The larger headlamps come with crystal-effect inserts and chrome outlines dividing it in three sections – projector headlamp, turn indicator and parking lamp. The front bumper will also be revised with new stain grey bits and black plastic.

The higher trims of the new Verna will get newly-designed alloy wheels with diamond cut dual-tone trim. Major changes will be made at the rear end. The 2020 Hyundai Verna will get cluster design taillamps and boot with a thin LED strip running between the taillights. The license plate will be positioned slightly lower and the rear bumper gets rectangular with vertically placed reflectors and dual-tone faux diffuser. The digital instrument cluster will be one of the major changes made inside the cabin. The new 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift will also receive a slightly larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with better interface. The sedan will get Hyundai BlueLink connected car technology.

Hyundai Verna facelift Red

As mentioned above, the new-generation Hyundai Verna facelift will come with a new set of BS6-compliant 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options. The power and torque figures of the new 1.5L diesel motor will be reduced to 115bhp from 128hp and 250Nm from 260Nm. Both manual and automatic gearbox will be on offer.
