2020 Hyundai Creta Debut On 6th Feb; New Tucson Coming Tomorrow

Hyundai Motors India will showcase a range of new models and facelifts at the Auto Expo 2020 that will begin tomorrow in Greater Noida. The carmaker will launch the 2020 Hyundai Tucson facelift on 5th February and the 2020 Hyundai Creta will debut on 6th February at the biennial event. Set for a generation change, the Creta will witness comprehensive changes inside and out.

The 2020 Hyundai Creta will come with an all-new range of BS6-compliant engines sourced from the Kia Seltos. The setup will include three powertrains – a 1.5L petrol (115PS/144Nm), 1.5L diesel (115PS/250Nm) and a 1.4L turbocharged petrol (140PS/242Nm).

A 6-speed manual gearbox will be standard across the range. Similar to the Seltos, the 2020 Hyundai Creta might get a 7-speed DCT gearbox with 1.4L turbo petrol motor, a CVT automatic unit with 1.5L petrol engine and a 6-speed automatic gearbox with 1.5L oil burner. Talking about the 2020 Hyundai Tucson, the facelifted model will feature the brand’s latest design language along with minor styling updates. Mechanically, the SUV will receive the BS6-compliant version of the existing 2.0L petrol and diesel engines. Transmission choices will include the same 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.

This time around, the Tucson might get an optional AWD (all-wheel-drive) system. Though, it could be reserved for the fully-loaded diesel-automatic variants. The updated model will also get a new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360 degree camera, Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity and adaptive cruise control.

The South Korean carmaker will also unveil the Hyundai Nexo FCEV SUV that will launch sometime in 2021. The company will also preview its performance-oriented models including the Hyundai i30 N Fastback. Alongside, the Hyundai Le Fil Rouge concept, Hyundai Kite dune buggy concept and Hyundai Elevate walking car concept will also be put up on display at the event.
