Skoda has officially unveiled the 2015 Superb saloon in Prague. The sedan will be go on sale in international markets in June, while the India launch is expected in 2016 Delhi Motor Show in February.
The 2016 Skoda Superb features an all-new front fascia, inspired from the VisionC concept. It is equipped a slender grille that is flanked by bi-xenon headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. The sculpted hood, shorter front overhangs and a “tornado line” running across the length of the car add to its sporty character. The gently sloping roofline gives a coupe-like profile, while the rear end gets new LED tail lamps. The wheelbase has been increased by 80mm to offer spacious cabin.
The interiors of the sedan are relatively plain, but the model will be made available with four new infotainment systems with one compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Skoda confirmed that the new model is equipped with 29 ‘Simply Clever’ features such as a rear seat tablet holder, an umbrella in each of the front doors, LED flashlight, etc.
Engine Specifications:
The Skoda Superb saloon is introduced in eight different engines, all of which are equipped with start/stop technology. The three petrol engines- 1.4L, 1.8L and 2.0L TSI units, and two diesel options- a 1.8L and 2.0L TDI units. The petrol units produce power between 125PS and 280PS, while the TDI diesel engines develop between 120PS and 190PS.
Transmission- Dual-Clutch transmission
All-wheel drive system will be offered as an optional.
