2014 Nissan Sunny facelift India launch in second week of June

Nissan Sunny facelift

Japanese car manufacturer Nissan is all set to launch the facelift version of the Sunny sedan in the country. The company is conducting the drives for the new models on 10th June, 2014, and we expect that the vehicle will be launched by the second week of June. Unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, the Nissan Sunny has received a number of external as well as internal tweaks, making it look refreshing.

At the front, the new Sunny is equipped with new grille surrounded by chrome which is complemented by large headlamps. The new front bumper sports new fog lamp assembly with chrome inserts. The side profile gets electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors with integrated turn indicators. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to newly designed alloy wheels. The rear profile looks quite similar to the current model; however, the lower bumper gets black plastic insert.

It is expected that the Nissan Sunny facelift could get ABS and driver side airbag as standard features. The top spec models are likely to feature side airbags and updated music system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The centre console now gets Piano black colour.

Mechanically, the new Sunny facelift will remain unchanged. The vehicle is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 98PS and the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine that produces 85PS. The manual and XTRONIC CVT are there too.
