According to AutoCarIndia, the new Hyundai i20 Hatchback launch has been confirmed during festive season, around Diwali 2020.

This is confirmed by Hyundai India’s Director – Sales, Marketing and Service Tarun Garg. He confirmed that Hyundai is targeting a festive season launch, which is normally a period of strong demand.

2020 Hyundai i20

The new-gen Hyundai i20 hatchback for the Indian market will be slightly different from the global model. The India-spec model will sit under 4 meters in length, while the international-spec i20 is 4,040mm long. The India-spec model will ride on a longer wheelbase, which should help the automaker to create more space inside the cabin. Moreover, the width of the car will be increased to create more shoulder space in the second row.

The new Hyundai i20 comes with host of comfort and convenience features including a fully digital instrument console with 10.25-inch screen, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charger, keyless entry, push button start and a Bose premium audio system. The hatchback will also receive ventilated front seats, six airbags, reverse camera and climate control.

The next-gen Hyundai i20 will be offered with 3 engine options – a 83bhp, 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 118bhp, 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 99bhp, 1.5-litre, TDI diesel. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer. The new Hyundai i20 will rival the likes of the Tata Altroz, BSVI Honda Jazz, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Toyota Glanza.
