2 New Nissan SUVs To Launch This Year

Upcoming Nissan Cars

Nissan India recently removed Micra hatchback, Sunny sedan and Terrano SUV from its official website. All three models have been discontinued due to their poor sales. Currently, the carmaker’s Indian product lineup includes only two cars – Kicks compact SUV and GT-R supercar. In coming months, Renault will roll out the updated version of the Nissan Kicks with the segment’s most powerful petrol engine.

The 2020 Nissan Kicks will come with a new 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine delivering 156bhp and 254Nm. Its arch rivals – new Creta and Seltos – offer 115bhp with 140Nm. The SUV’s updated model will offer a fuel economy of 16.3kmpl. The new gasoline motor will come with both manual and a new X-tronic CVT automatic gearbox. The latter one will be 40% more efficient than the existing CVT units.

2020 Nissan Kicks Features

The updated Kicks lineup will come in 7 variants spread across four trims – XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O). There will be 9 colour schemes to choose from including 6 monotone and 3 dual-tone shades. The SUV will continue to offer several segment-leading features a 360-degreen around view monitoring camera, vehicle dynamic control and more.

The all-new Nissan Magnite subcompact SUV will be the second launch from the Japanese carmaker this year. While its official launch details are yet to be announced, it’s reported to hit showrooms just ahead of 2020 festive season (possibly in August). Earlier, it was scheduled to launch in mid 2020.

Nissan Magnite Compact SUV Teased

Reports suggest that the Magnite could be the most affordable vehicle in its category. It might be priced as low as Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The teaser pictures show that the SUV will carry crossover-ish stance with features such as LED headlamps, alloy wheels, pronounced wheel arches and LED taillamps. Powering the vehicle could be a 72bhp, 1.0L, naturally-aspirated petrol engine with manual and CVT gearbox options. The higher trims will come with the 99bhp, 1.0L turbo-petrol motor.
