MG Hector Plus 6-Seater SUV Launch Details Out
MG Motor India has confirmed that it will launch the Hector’s 6-seater version in the third quarter of 2020 (i.e. July – September). Called the MG Hector Plus, the SUV recently made its public debut at this year’s Auto Expo. The 7-seater version of the SUV will be revealed near round its launch that’s reported to happen near around 2020 Diwali season.
The MG Hector Plus 6-seater has a flexible third row seat with 50:50 split ratio and dedicated air-con vents. The rest interior layout and features are exactly similar to the 5-seater Hector. It comes with the same 10.4-inch vertical infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, Wi-Fi connectivity, automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof and more.
Compared to the Hector 5-seater, the MG Hector Plus is 40mm longer. Though, the width, hegith and wheelbase remain unchanged. Subtle changes have been made to its exterior. The 6-seater version of the SUV features a new glossy black grille, newly-designed headlamps with thicker LED DRLs and new fog lamps at the front end. The rear section also looks different, thanks to its revised taillamps, newly-designed bumper and new dual-exist exhaust design. The tailgate misses out on the LED light bar that’s offered on the 5-seater Hector.
On the engine front, the MG Hector Plus 6-seater will have the BS6-compliant petrol and diesel motors. The 1.5L oil burner makes 170bhp with 350Nm and the 1.5L turbo gasoline unit delivers 143bhp with 250nm. The 1.5L petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system will also be on offer. After the Hector’s 6 and 7-seater version, the British carmaker will roll out the MG Gloster luxury SUV that was showcased at the recently-concluded Delhi Auto Expo. The company will also foray into MPV space with the MG G10 and MG 360M.
