Tata Hexa Safari Edition Unveiled At Auto Expo 2020
Tata Motors’ pavilion at the Auto Expo 2020 is full of exciting new SUV concepts, new models and electric vehicles. The homegrown carmaker has showcased the Tata Hexa Safari Edition alongside the all-new Tata Sierra concept, HBX mini SUV concept, Gravitas 7-seater SUV and Harrier automatic.
Powering the Tata Hexa Safari Edition is the BS6-compliant 2.2L four-cylinder ‘Varicor’ turbo diesel engine that pushes out a peak power of 156PS and a peak torque of 400Nm. This makes it around 2PS more powerful than the BS4 Hexa SUV.
The oil burner comes with three gearbox options – a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. Similar to the BS4 Hexa, the new BS6 Hexa Safari Edition is equipped with a 4X4 drivetrain system. Check Out – Tata HBX Mini SUV Concept Pictures
Visually, the Tata Hexa Safari Edition appears more rugged than the regular model. It gets a special badging on the outside. Inside, the SUV features dual-tone Beige and Black theme.
Similar to the standard model, the Hexa Safari Edition offers a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear parking sensors and camera, 10-speaker music system, cruise control, multiple airbags and ABS with EBD.
The carmaker hasn’t yet revealed the launch timeline of the Hexa Safari Edition. It’s expected to be priced slightly premium over the existing model that comes in the price range of Rs 13.7 lakh – Rs 19.27 lakh (all, ex-showroom Delhi).
