Tata Sierra SUV Concept Unveiled At Auto Expo 2020
Tata Motors has surprised us at the Auto Expo 2020 by showcasing the all-new Sierra lifestyle SUV concept. The concept looks quite rugged with upright stance, high ground clearance, large tyres and bold SUV-ish characters. The Tata Sierra SUV concept is based on the lightweight, modular Alfa (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform that also underpins the newly-launched Altroz premium hatchback.
The front fascia of the Tata Sierra carries futuristic design elements including a wide black bumper with chrome treatment at the lower section. There is a thin and sleek lining for headlamps with the signature badge in the centre. The concept has no grille that hints it’s an electric SUV concept.
The side profile is adorned by wide black window mirrors, bold creases and large size alloy wheels. The Tata Sierra has black cladding all around the body. At the back, you can notice a large black windshield with a thin red lining just below it, a wide black bumper and space for highly mounted taillamps.
Interior details of the Tata Sierra are still under the wraps. It’s likely to feature a futuristic layout with a touchscreen infotainment system with latest smartphone connectivity features.
The lifestyle SUV from Tata might also be packed with safety features such as multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic stability program and more.
Engine details of the Tata Sierra are still under the wraps. It might share its powertrains with the Nexon EV electric SUV that comes with Tata’s new Ziptron electric technology. It consists of a permanent magnet AC motor powered by a Lithium-Ion battery.
With a 30.2 kWh battery, the electric SUV offers a maximum range of over 312 km on a single charge. The battery capacity and power figures for the Sierra could be different.
