Suzuki Gixxer 250 Specifications Leaked; Offers 26.5bhp of Power

The much-awaited Suzuki Gixxer 250 will officially go on sale in the country on May 20, 2019. The company has already teased the new motorcycle, which reveals that the new bike will have aggressive styling.

The upcoming Suzuki Gixxer 250 will be available in two versions – naked streetfighter and the fully-faired SF. The fully-faired motorcycle is likely to share the styling cues from the international-spec GSX250R. It is expected to get split seats with high mounted tailpiece, clip on handlebar and flat rear tyre. The naked bike shares the styling from the Haojue DR300, which has compact fairing and LED headlamps inspired by bigger Suzuki sportsbikes.

The Suzuki Gixxer 250 will also have a fully digital instrument console, which is likely to get Bluetooth connectivity to access messages, calls and others. Suspension mechanism of the bike comprises of telescopic front forks and monoshock at the rear.

A new media report claims that the new Suzuki Gixxer 250 gets a single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox. It is also claimed that the engine offers 26.5bhp of power, which is comparatively higher than the Yamaha FZ25. The motorcycle will be available in 3 colour options – Blue, Grey and Silver.

The Suzuki Gixxer 250 comes with dual-channel ABS system. It is expected that the motorcycle will share the platform with the Gixxer 155; however, the platform will be tweaked to accommodate bigger capacity engine. The component sharing will help the automaker to achieve competitive pricing. The motorcycle will rival the Yamaha FZ25, while the fully-faired model will challenge the Fazer 250. It is expected that the new motorcycle will cost you somewhere between Rs 1.35 lakh and Rs 1.50 lakh.
