Suzuki Gixxer 250 Launch on May 20, 2019; to Rival Yamaha FZ25
The upcoming Suzuki Gixxer 250 will directly rival the Yamaha FZ25
Japanese two-wheeler maker, Suzuki has officially announced that it will launch an all-new motorcycle in India on May 20, 2019. The company hasn’t revealed the name of the product, but the teaser suggests that the motorcycle could the much-awaited Suzuki Gixxer 250. It is expected that the Suzuki Gixxer 250 design is likely to take design inspiration from the Haojue DR300.
The teaser also reveals that the Suzuki Gixxer 250 will have LED headlamps. The motorcycle is likely to get LED tail-lights and clear lens turn indicators. Not just naked streetfighter, the company will also launch the fully-faired Gixxer 250 SF. The Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer 250 SF will directly rival the Yamaha FZ25 and the Fazer 250 respectively.
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 motorcycle is likely to share design highlights from the Haojue DR-300. It will get MRF tyres and conventional fork suspension setup. It will come with all-digital instrument console, which is likely to show the gear shift indicator, speedometer, odometer trip, trip, fuel gauge and side stand indicator. The instrument console could also offer Bluetooth connectivity feature to access messages, calls and music. The street naked bike will receive dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as standard feature. Braking system will comprise of disc brakes on both sides.
Engine details of the upcoming Suzuki Gixxer 250 are still under the wraps. It is likely to get a newly developed 250cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which will be benefited with fuel injection technology. We expect the new engine to deliver power close to 22-25PS and torque around 20Nm. The motorcycle could be priced in the range of Rs 1.35 lakh to Rs 1.45 lakh.
