Hero MotoCorp has finally introduced the 2018 Super Splendor with subtle design and feature updates. Besides, the commuter gets a slightly more powerful and efficient powertrain. Priced at Rs 57,190 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the 2018 Hero Super Splendor is aimed at young professional buyers. For the record Hero claims that the 2018 model year of the bike is 27% more powerful and 6% torquier than the old one.
Powering the bike is the Hero’s in-house developed 125cc, air-cooled non-sloper engine, which is also used in the new Hero Glamour. This motor is now capable to deliver a top power of 11.24bhp at 7,500rpm and 11Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. There is jump of 1.9bhp and 0.65Nm of torque. It can attain a top speed of 94kmph. The 2018 Hero Super Splendor is now benefited with the company’s i3S start-stop technology. Similar to the new Glamour, the 2018 Hero Super Splendor uses a 4-speed gearbox. Visually, the bike’s new model looks exactly similar to the old one. Though, it gets minor styling updates including revised side panels, a new seat, side stand indicator, auto headlamp on (AHO) and underseat storage. The 2018 model year is available five paint schemes – Candy Blazing Red, Black with Fiery Red Black/Silver, Black with Purple and Heavy Grey. It’s still devoid of disc brake option.
