MG Comet
MG Motor India has confirmed that its upcoming 2-door electric car will be called ‘Comet’. It’s essentially the re-badged Wuling Air EV that’s sold in markets like Indonesia. The model is expected to witness a market launch by mid 2023 and it’s estimated to cost around Rs 10 lakh. Powertrain setup of the MG Comet might include a battery pack of around 20-25kWh along with a single electric motor fitted at the front axle. Tata Altroz CNG
Tata Altroz CNG, which was showcased at this year’s Auto Expo, will go on sale in coming months. The hatchback will come with a 1.2L Revotron petrol engine boosted with Dyna-pro technology. In CNG mode, it delivers a maximum power of 77bhp and 97Nm of peak torque. The Altroz CNG has two CNG tank with a total capacity of 60-litres. The carmaker claims that the CNG tanks are made of an advanced material that prevent leakage and thermal incidents. It will deliver a fuel efficiency of over 25km/kg. More details here…
New-Gen Maruti Swift
The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift will hit our roads sometime in 2024. It’s among the much-anticipated upcoming new small cars in India. If reports are to be trusted, the all-new Swift will source its power from a 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine benefited with Toyota’s strong hybrid technology. The hatchback’s new model will deliver an ARAI-certified mileage of around 35kmpl – 40kmpl. This will make it the most fuel efficient car in the country. New-Gen Tata Tiago
Tata Motors will give a generation change to its highly popular Tiago hatchback in 2024 or 2025. One of the major updates will be made to its underpinning. The all-new Tiago will be switch to the modular Alfa platform, which is already used in the Altroz hatchback and Punch micro SUV. The Alfa architecture supports different body styles and multiple powertrains. Significant changes will also be made to its design and interior layout.
