Hyundai has announced prices for the Alcazar 3-row SUV with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. The 2023 Hyundai Alcazar 1.5 Turbo petrol is priced at Rs 16.74 lakh for the entry-level 7-seater Prestige manual variant, which goes up to Rs 20.25 lakh for the top-spec Alcazar Signature (O) six-seater automatic.
The new Hyundai Alcazar 1.5 Turbo petrol can be booked online or at authorised Hyundai Signature dealerships. Deliveries for the new model are likely to commence before the end of this month. The new 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine replaces the ageing 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine.

The Prestige & Plantinum 7-seater variants are offered with a six-speed manual gearbox only. The higher-spec Platinum (O) and Signature (O) come with six-seat layouts only and the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The 2.0L NA petrol engine is capable of producing 159bhp and 192Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 1.5L turbo petrol unit produces 160bhp and 253Nm of torque. The new engine offers 1bhp more power and 61Nm higher torque compared to the NA engine. The new 1.5L turbo engine will also power the all-new Verna sedan, which is set to debut on March 21, 2023. Moreover, the new engine will also power the new Creta SUV and the Kia Seltos.
The new 1.5L turbo petrol engine is RDE (Real Driving Emission) compliant and also supports E20 (Ethanol) fuel. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission or DCT. The new engine also gets integrated start-stop tech. The DCT version is claimed to return 18kmpl, while the manual version offers 17.5kmpl.
The SUV gets six airbags including side & curtain airbags as standard. The SUV also has a new-look grille and new puddle lamps. The diesel version is available with the tried & tested 1.5-litre engine that produces 115bhp & 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
