Upcoming New Bajaj Bikes – Names Trademarked

Bajaj Auto has been working on multiple new models, which are slated to arrive in the next 2-3 years. In fact, the company has trademarked new nameplates for its upcoming products including Twinner, Caliber, Freerider, Fluor, Fluir and Neuron. While there is no official word on the upcoming new Bajaj bikes, a few popular speculations are revolving around each nameplate. Here’s a brief on them.

Bajaj Twinner

The home-grown two-wheeler manufacturer recently trademarked the ‘Twinner’ name that could be used for its upcoming twin-cylinder motorcycle. The model will be developed under Bajaj-KTM partnership and it could be powered by a new 490cc parallel-twin engine that does duty in several KTM bikes.

Bajaj Caliber

Rumour has it that the popular Bajaj Caliber motorcycle might return with modern styling and features. For power, the bike might use the 115cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine from Platina that’s good for 8bhp and 9.81Nm. It could also be offered with the Plusar 125’s 125cc DTS-I motor pushing out power worth 12bhp and 11Nm of torque.

Bajaj Freerider

In July 2021, the company trademarked the ‘Bajaj Freerider’ name for its upcoming new motorcycle. Speculations are on rife that the nameplate could be used for a new electric bike based on the Husqvarna E-Pilen concept’s platform. In fact, its frame, suspension setup and braking system might also be sourced from the Husqvarna E-Pilen.

Bajaj Fluor and Fluir

The Bajaj Fluor and Fluir names were trademarked for the upcoming new Bajaj bikes, which are likely to be used for the new electric bikes. As of now, details of the new Bajaj e-bike are not available.

Bajaj Neuron

If reports are to be believed, the Bajaj Neuron name could be used for a sub-400cc retro-style motorcycle. While there is no official information, the model might derive its design inspiration from the Avenger cruiser range. Here, it will be positioned against the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Honda H’Ness 350.
