Audi RS7 facelift

German luxury car manufacturer Audi has unveiled the RS7 facelift which now received various styling changes. The vehicle was first unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.

The Audi RS7 now gets updates to both inside and outside. At the front, the vehicle gets the restyled single frame grille with the black honeycomb typical of RS models, with the corners now even sharper and more distinctive. Three optional packages – matt aluminum, gloss black and carbon – make the look of the RS 7 Sportback even more distinctive. The central front air inlet bears the Quattro lettering. The bumper is slightly modified and features the distinctive air inlets.

The single frame grille is complemented by the sleek headlights with LED technology as a standard feature. Customers will have an option to select the innovative Matrix LED technology which is available exclusively on the RS7 Sportback with additionally darkened trims. It also gets turn signals with dynamic display at the front. The rear looks identical to the previous model; however, the tail lights sports a new interior design. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to restyled 20-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the vehicle gets revised instrument cluster which includes updated air outlet controls of the vezel nozzles, the shift paddles behind the steering wheel and the Quattro emblem on the instrument panel. The standard MMI navigation plus with MMI touch now uses the modular infotainment platform of the latest generation; its highlight is an efficient graphics processor from Audi’s partner, Nvidia.

Under the hood, the Audi RS7 facelift gets the same 4.0-litre V8 direct injection petrol engine that churns out a maximum power output of 552bhp. The generated power is channeled through a standard 8-speed auto gearbox to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system. It accelerates to 100kmph from zero in just 3.9 seconds and it catches an electronically limited top speed of 255kmph.
