KTM 250 Adventure Motorcycle Launching This Festive Season

KTM is gearing up to launch the mich-awaited new KTM 250 Adventure motorcycle in the Indian market. In fact, the images and other details of the motorcycle have already been leaked on the Internet. It is expected that KTM will make an official announcement on the launch of the 250 Adventure in the next few days. The bike could go on sale during this festive season, before Diwali.

The KTM 250 Adventure is expected to be priced under Rs 2.5 lakh and is likely to be around 60,000 cheaper than the KTM 390 Adventure. Based on the 250 Duke, the new motorcycle will be offered in two colour options – Orange and Black. The 250 Adv will share the styling with the bigger sibling; however, it will miss out on some premium features to keep cost down.

Similar to the last-gen 250 Duke, the 250 ADV will have a halogen headlamp setup. It will be equipped with a TFT instrument console, while the Duke 250 gets LCD unit. The motorcycle runs on 100/90-19 front and 130/80-17 rear wheels. It will get MRF Mogrip Meteor FM2 tubeless tyres. The motorcycle has a fuel tank capacity of 14.5L; its ground clearance and seat height measure 200mm and 855mm respectively.

Powering the motorcycle is a 250cc single-cylinder engine that also powers the naked sibling. This engine is capable of producing 30PS of power and 24Nm of torque. The engine will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The gearbox could have revised ratios to suit the needs of an adventure bike.

Based on the trellis frame, the KTM 250 Adventure features inverted front forks and rear monoshock. The bike will have disc brakes at both ends along with switchable dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). With the new 250 Adventure, KTM will target Royal Enfield buyers. Adding to it, the motorcycle could attract rides who find the 390 Adventure expensive.
