Toyota Urban Cruiser will be the next big launch from the Japanese carmaker in the country. Toyota’s authorized dealers have started accepting pre-orders for the model at a token sum of Rs 11,000. Its launch is likely to happen sometime next month (September, 2020). Ahead of its official launch, the carmaker has revealed its exterior, interior, colours and engine details. The model uses the same 104bhp, 1.5L, 4-cylinder petrol engine that does duty in its Maruti Suzuki’s counterpart. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer. All automatic variants will get advanced Li-ion battery with ISG (integrated starter generator) enhancing its fuel efficiency and performance.

The carmaker has confirmed that the Toyota Urban Cruiser will feature a dual-tone dark brown premium interior. The list of features includes a new Smart Playcast touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with navigation, an electrochromic rear view mirror, automatic AC unit, smart entry with engine push start/stop, cruise control and rain sensing wipers.
Minor changes have been made to its exterior. The new Toyota compact SUV features a twin-slate wedge cut dynamic grille with chrome and trapezoidal fog area design that looks completely different from the Vitara Brezza. It comes with LED lighting package that includes dual chamber LED projector headlamps with dual function, LED DRLs cum indicators, LED fog lamps, LED high mounted stop lamps and split taillamps. Similar to the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the Urban Cruiser has been equipped with 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
