Maruti Vitara Brezza – 10,362
Maruti Suzuki Vitara has regained the top spot, which it lost against the recently launched Hyundai Venue. The company has delivered 10,362 units of the compact SUV in September 2019. Maruti Suzuki is also readying the petrol version of the compact SUV, which is expected to further boost the demand.
Hyundai Venue – 7,942
The Venue sub-4 meter SUV has been doing excellent business for the Korean brand. Hyundai has received over 75,000 bookings and over 42,000 examples have already been delivered in just 5 months. In September 2019, Hyundai sold 7,942 units of the Venue compact SUV.
Kia Seltos – 7,754
Kia’s first model in our market – Seltos maintains its lead over the popular Hyundai Creta SUV. The company had delivered 7,754 units in the September 2019, which also makes it the best-selling model in its category.
Hyundai Creta – 6,641
Hyundai sold 6,641 units of the Creta compact SUV in September 2019. The sales of the SUV dropped by massive 40% compared to the same month last year. Hyundai is readying the next-gen Creta SUV, which is scheduled to be launched in the first quarter of 2020.
Mahindra Scorpio – 3,600
Despite being one of the oldest SUVs in India, Mahindra Scorpio still carries huge popularity among semi-urban and rural buyers. The homegrown automaker sold 3,600 units of the Scorpio last month, which is just 9% drop compared to the same month last year.
