Tata Zest and Bolt launching soon; website goes live

India’s leading car maker, Tata Motors is all set to launch the much anticipated products Zest compact sedan and Bolt hatchback in the Indian car market. The company has launched the websites for both cars, which explains everything a visitor wants to know about the vehicles. Based on the thoroughly modified X1 platform, the Zest and Bolt are likely to be launched by the mid-2014. Both models were unveiled prior to recently concluded 2014 Indian Auto Expo and displayed at the event.

Both the Zest and the Bolt will be powered by the 1.2-litre Revotorn engine. This 4-cylinder turbocharged motor is capable of developing a top power output of 85PS and 140Nm of top torque. The oil burners will get the 1.3-litre Quadrajet engine producing 90PS and 200Nm of top torque. The hatchback will also get the same 1.3-litre diesel engine which will make 75PS and 190Nm of torque.

Both the engines will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission gearbox, while the diesel engine will also get a five-speed automated manual transmission gearbox. Tata has added several segment first features including EPAS with active return function and speed sensitive power steering which has been developed by ZF. For connectivity, the Zest and the Bold has Harman infotainment system and MaymyIndia navigation. Additionally, the vehicles will gets one-touch 5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, smart voice recognition, advanced smartphone integration, social media integration, touch phone controlled interface and many more.

The Tata Zest compact sedan will compete against the likes of Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze and the Maruti Swift Dzire. On the other hand, the Bolt will take on the likes of Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Swift and others. To see Tata Zest and Tata Bolt websites- Click Here- Zest & Bolt
