Tata Punch Waiting Period – Variant-Wise Details

Tata Punch micro SUV from the home-grown automaker entered into Indian market on 18th October 2021. The model lineup has been offered in four trims – Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative – priced between Rs 5.49 lakh – Rs 9.39 lakh (all, ex-showroom). One must note that these are introductory prices, which are bound to increase from 1st January 2022.

Based on Tata’s Alfa platform, the mini SUV is powered by a 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that’s good enough for 86bhp and 113Nm. Both motors are available with the 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.

The entry-level Pure variants are high in demand and command a waiting period of over 9 months in select cities. The Adventure trim has also been witnessing strong demand and observing waiting period up to 5 months. The standard feature list of the Tata Punch includes 15-inch steel wheels, front power windows, central locking, tilt adjust steering, brake sway control, Isofix child seat anchors, dual airbags and ABS with EBD. The entry-level Pure trim comes with the Rhythm Pack that offers steering mounted audio controls and audio system and 4 speakers.

The Adventure trim has follow-me-home headlamps, anti-glare inside rear view mirror, USB charging socket, rear power windows, electric adjust wing mirrors, rear key lock/unlock, steering mounted audio controls, electric adjust wing mirrors, audio system with 4-inh display and 4 speakers. Its Rhythm pack offers two additional features, namely, rear view camera and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

In other updates, Tata Motors is reported to introduce diesel variants of the Punch mini SUV. It’s likely to come with the 1.5L oil burner sourced from the Altroz premium hatchback. The motor pushes out a peak power of 89bhp and 200Nm of torque. Similar to its petrol counterparts, the Tata Punch diesel could be offered with the 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes.
