2022 KTM 390 Adventure, 250 Adventure Revealed: Key Changes

KTM had introduced the 390 Adventure and the 250 Adventure motorcycles in January and November 2020 respectively. Both motorcycles are produced at Bajaj Auto production facility near Pune in Maharashtra. Like the new RC and Duke range, KTM has now updated the Adventure range including 1290 Super Adventure S, 1290 Super Adventure R, 390 Adventure and 250 Adventure.

KTM claims that the 2022 390 Adventure now comes with a more free-roaming spirit of adventure. The new model comes with new colour options along with some added electronic features. It gets two new traction control modes – Street and Offroad. These new modes will automatically adjust degree of rear wheel slip, which ensures better control in loose or wet terrains.

KTM has also updated the offroad traction mode, which customers complained in the previous model. On a brief stall or fall during off-roading, the traction control system used to rest and rider had to go back to old setting to active this mode. This has been fixed with the 2022 KTM 390 Adventure, as rider can continue with the offroad traction mode in the event of stall or fall.

The 2022 KTM 390 Adventure also gets new 10 spoke wheels instead of 12 spokes in current model. This has been updated to increase the stiffness and the resistance of the rims. The motorcycle gets two new colour options – Black with Orange accents and Orange with Blue accents.

It is powered by the same 248cc single-cylinder engine producing 30PS and 24Nm of torque. The 390 ADV gets a single-cylinder 373cc engine that produces 43.5PS and 37Nm of torque.
