Tata Punch Bookings Open At Dealership Level – Amount & Details

Tata Motors recently confirmed that its all-new Punch micro SUV will be launched during 2021 festive season. As the festive season will end with Diwali (which is on 4th November), we expect it to come in the month of October. Ahead of its official arrival, select Tata dealers have started accepting bookings for the micro SUV. Booking amount ranges between 5,000 to 21,000 and it’s completely refundable. The automaker has dropped multiple teasers of the Punch mini SUV revealing some of its interesting details. The model will come with multiple drive modes, which are likely to be Sport, City and Eco. It could also be the first car in its category to offer traction modes, hill decent control and hill start assist. The traction modes might include Rock, Mud, Sand and Snow. The new Tata small SUV, which is based on the HBX concept, carries the brand’s Impact 2.0 design language.

Upfront, the mini SUV features a single slate black grille, split headlamps, dual tone bumper and fog lamps with black surround. The side profile has been adorned by squared-off wheel arches, contrast coloured ORVMs, dual tone alloy wheels, C-pillar mounted rear door handles and black body cladding. Its interior layout is likely to be similar to the concept. In terms of features, the Punch will share several comfort goodies from the Altroz premium hatchback. Tata claims that the mini SUV will offer ‘absolute safety’.

Under the hood, the new Tata Punch micro SUV is likely to feature a 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor. While the former will produce a peak power of 85bhp with 113Nm of torque, the latter will offer power worth 100bhp. There will be two gearboxes on offer – 5-speed manual and an AMT.
