Tata Nexon With New Alloy Wheels Reaches Dealerships

Tata Nexon subcompact SUV recently received two updates including the voice assistance system supporting Hinglish language and discontinuation of the Tectonic Blue colour scheme. Now, the company has introduced the new 5-spoke, 16-inch alloy wheels on the compact SUV model lineup. In fact, the variants equipped with the new alloy wheels have already started arriving at dealerships. The new diamond-cut alloys come as a replacement to the old V-shaped design units. No other changes have been made to the model.

At present, the 2021 Tata Nexon comes in 12 variants and 4 trims (XE, XM, XZ and XZ+) priced from Rs 7.19 lakh to Rs 12.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Buyers have 5 colour options – Calgary White, Foliage Green, Daytona Grey, Flame Red and Pure Silver. It can be had with either a 1.2L turbo petrol or a 1.5L diesel engine. The power output of both motors stands at 110bhp with 170Nm (petrol) and 260Nm (diesel). You can choose from 6-speed manual and AMT gearboxes.

In other updates, the home-grown carmaker is planning to launch the Tata HBX concept based small SUV in coming months. Its final version is reported to be named – Tata Timero. Recently, the model was spotted in its production avatar revealing its Harrier-inspired front fascia. The new Tata mini SUV could be offered with two engines – 1.2L,3-cylinder naturally aspirated (86bhp/113Nm) and 1.2L turbocharged (100bhp). Both manual and AMT gearboxes will be on offer.

Tata is also working on the CNG version of the Tiago hatchback to challenge the Maruti Suzuki WagonR. The new Tata Tiago CNG will feature the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine with a CNG kit. There will be a marginal power drop. The overall design and features of the model will remain unchanged. The carmaker has also planned the Tata Tigor facelift that’s likely to arrive towards the end of this year.
