Tata Motors has finally unveiled the long-awaited Tata H5X 5-seater premium SUV at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo.
The concept version of the SUV has been showcased at the event, while the production model will go on sale towards the end of this year.
The production version of the SUV will be the first Tata car to feature the company’s new IMPACT Design 2.0 design language.
Powering the SUV will be a Fiat’s sourced 2.0-litre MJD diesel engine that will offer two states of tunes – 140bhp and 170bhp.
It comes equipped with a digital console and a touchscreen infotainment system. The concept comes with two rows with two seats in each row. The SUV is built on Land Rover’s L550 platform and it will be available with two seat layouts – five and seven-seat options.
At the back, the SUV gets wraparound tail-lights with smoked effect and stylish bumper with lots of curves and creases. The concept’s interior too looks special, which comes with a clutter-free design. Material quality again feels top-notch.
The front bumper looks bold with fog lamp enclosure featuring tri-arrow pattern, while sculpted bumper gives it a sporty character.It comes with a sloping roofline and brilliantly styled glasshouse area that narrows down from the C-pillar.
The concept has squat stance with huge wheel arches and massive 22-inch wheels, which gives it an aggressive look. Stylish front end comprises of slim high-set LED headlights and Tata’s trademark ‘humanity line’ that connects the grille and headlights.
