Tata Gravitas Launch In January 2021 – Key Features

Tata Gravitas, which is essentially the bigger and premium version of the Harrier, is ready to hit Indian roads in January, 2021. It will be the most expensive model in the company’s product portfolio that will be put up against the MG Hector Plus and the upcoming new Mahindra XUV500. – Sitting on 2741mm wheelbase (which is similar to the Harrier), the new Tata SUV will be offered with 6 and 7-seats configurations.

– The overall length and height of the Gravitas, however, will be increased by 63mm and 80mm respectively.

– The longer rear overhangs and stepped roof will further help accommodate the extra third row of seats. The third row seat will have access via a folding middle row with a one-touch flip and fold function.

– Minor cosmetic changes will be made to its rear end. The upcoming new Gravitas will have more upright tailgate, revised rear bumper and newly-designed taillamps with a black strip running between the taillamp clusters.

– Interior will receive grey trim and ivory seat upholstery and door pads. Similar to the Harrier, the bigger Tata SUV will offer a floating touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and voice recognition feature, JBL audio system, a 7-inch instrument panel, climate control system, adjustable driver’s seat, a 3-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, cruise control and more fitments. – Engine setup of the Tata Gravitas will include a BS6-compliant 2.0L, 4-cylinder diesel engine that does duty in the Harrier. The motor has been tuned for delivering power worth 168bhp and 350Nm of torque.

– There will be two gearboxes on offer – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic sourced from Hyundai.
