In order to do so, the home-grown carmaker is betting big on its two new upcoming SUVs – Gravitas 6/7-seater and HBX mini SUV. Both models are slated to launch in early 2021. The Tata Gravitas is the bigger version of the Harrier sharing its platform, features and engine setup with the 5-seater SUV. Though, it’s 63mm longer and 80mm taller than its younger sibling. The wheelbase (2741mm) is exactly similar to the Harrier.

As mentioned above, the Tata Gravitas will share its powertrain with the Harrier. That means, it will come with the 2.0L, 4-cylinder diesel engine and 6-speed manual and torque convertor automatic gearbox options. The oil burner pushes out a peak power of 168bhp and 350Nm of torque.

Tata HBX 5 Things

Talking about the Tata HBX, the micro SUV will be put up against the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso and the upcoming Hyundai’s mini SUV. The fresh spy pictures reveal that the front end of the model will look similar to the Harrier featuring split headlamps with LED DRLs, ‘Humanity Line’ grille and a dual-tone bumper. The higher trims could be exclusively offered with dual-tone alloy wheels.

Interior of the Tata HBX micro SUV is likely to retain of its elements from the concept. It will get a 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and a floating infotainment unit with AC vents placed below it. While the lower trims might get black fabric seats, the higher variants could be offered with leather upholstery.
