2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift is ready to hit roads on coming 6th January. Ahead of its official price announcement, the variant and colour details of the updated model have been emerged on the web. As per a leaked scan, the new Fortuner model lineup will be available in 10 variants and two engine and three gearbox options. With the mid-life update, the SUV will receive the more powerful version of the 2.8L turbo diesel motor that’s tuned for generating 204bhp with 500Nm.
The petrol model will continue to use the 2.7L engine making power worth 164bhp and 245Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. Both 2WD (two-wheel-drive) and 4WD (four-wheel-drive) will be on offer. The new Toyota Fortuner Legender will come with 2.8L diesel engine with automatic gearbox and 2WD system. The 4WD drivetrain system will be reserved for the entry-level Fortuner Sigma 4 trims.
As mentioned above, the 2021 Toyota Fortuner will be offered in 9 colour options (8 monotone and a dual-tone). The monotone shades will be Pearl White, Super White, Sparkling Black, Grey Metallic, Attitude Black, Silver Metallic, Phantom Brown and Av. Bronze. There will be a single dual-tone paint schemes – Pearl White with Matte Black. Buyers will have three interior colour trims to choose from – all-black theme, Chamois and Black & Maroon (saved for Fortuner Legender).
Noticeable changes will be made to its exterior. The 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift will carry a beefier grille, new LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, revised front bumper with larger fog lamp housing and a new silver skid plate. Other key changes will include newly-designed multi-spoke alloy wheels, updated wing mirrors and new LED taillamps. No dimensional changes will be made to the SUV.
Inside, the SUV might receive a new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The list of features might also include a 360-degree view camera view, wireless phone charger, 9-speaker JBL audio system, electrically adjustable front passenger seats, 7 airbags, lane departure warning, collision prevention system, radar-guided dynamic cruise control and more.
